12 Good Ideas For “Goooder” Living

Ticket To Happiness

  1. Try everything twice. On a woman’s tombstone she said she wanted this epitaph: “Tried everything twice. Loved it both times!”
  2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down… do periodic “self-evaluations.”
  3. Keep learning: Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever… never let the brain get idle. “An idle mind is the devil’s workshop.” And the devil’s name is Alzheimer’s!
  4. Enjoy the simple things. Savor the “feel” of a misty morning… contemplate a colorful sunset or sunrise… enjoy “dawn” as darkness becomes light… eat a watermelon… walk barefooted in the sand… pet a dog.
  5. Laugh often, long and vigorously. Laugh until you gasp for breath. And if you have a friend who makes you laugh, spend lots and lots of time with HIM or HER. Enjoy LIVING, not just Existing!
  6. Let tears flow… don’t hold ’em back. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. LIVE while you are alive. “Aiming to” don’t pick no cotton!
  7. Surround yourself with what you love: Whether it’s family, friends, pets, music, plans, hobbies, motorcycles, whatever. Do some stuff for “you”… not always just for others.
  8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.
  9. Don’t take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, even to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.
  10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity. “I love you” lifts spirits, warms hearts and heals wounds.
  11. Forgive, now, those who made you cry. You might not get a second chance. Being unwilling to forgive, is like drinking a cup of poison and waiting for the other person to die!
  12. Be KIND, THOUGHTFUL and CONSIDERATE to everyone… you never know what challenge they may be facing… your kindness gives them HOPE. There is no such thing as “false hope”… HOPE is good conditioning for mind, body and spirit!

I have to tell you that your “Terrific” seminar is absolutely amazing! We have been encouraged at work to watch your entire seminar and you have made a huge impact on my thought process. As with most companies, ours has and is going through huge restructuring, not knowing from day to day if our jobs will still be in place. Everchanging, making life very difficult. I have thought about your seminar since first viewing it, found the snipet you have on your site and shared it with my family! Keep spreading the word, it is much needed in these very trying times. Thank you!
